Back You are here: Home Travel & Tour I was in a family!

I was in a family!

It's a FAM trip to Dubai, a common affair for any vacationer. It was different for Ms.Preema Rajappa who traveled with her little group of three pretty ladies and a handsome baby. Hailing from the most picturesque place, Queen of hill stations of India, Ooty and running a family hospitality business, service industry not alien to her.

Every holiday trip carries with it memories, out of which some as travelogue and others as pics go to Instagram and Facebook. But this was different.

How different was it?

Much before she started her journey, she was part of a WhatsApp group that guided her now and then giving her the confidence to ask more. She has well described it as ‘organizers were near us all the time’. It was not a flowery comment she gave.

Where is the Airport Assistance?

In the Airport she could not get the Airport Rep, making her perplexed. Thanks to her WhatsApp group where she shared her worries. No wonder the name and number popped up with a merry sound. Once in Dubai, she had ‘well-organized accommodation’ and other services which made her respond as ‘incredible atmosphere’.

How exhaustive could a half day city tour be?

She lived at Al Khoory Executive Hotel Al Bada in Dubai that put forth a grace and majestic ambiance known for its impeccable facilities. Her expedition to the magnificent land started from the day one by passing thru Dubai Creek with a short visit to Dubai Museum. A languish excursion nestled in a wooden boat with an Arabic ambiance makes the Dhow cruise enticing and captivating. White sandy beach fringed by crystal -clear seawater was an amazing spectacle for the visitors.

Gliding over the shifting sand dunes

Desert safari is a challenging ride through the rolling sand dunes, over the trackless sands followed by a delightful BBQ dinner. It’s more like living a mystic life of desert nomads, must visit at least once in a lifetime.

The Day was short for the whole trip

The journey to visit the most iconic fascinations that keep you engaged throughout the day was exciting. Charming Emirates Palace followed by Yas Marina the modern racing circuit, are beyond imagination. Nerve-racking Ferrari World was an exciting place to visit. In her hurry to visit the Ferrari World Theme Park, she missed the tickets. Again her WhatsApp clinked out the reference number with guidance to show the same at the entry gate. That gave her a great solace instigating her to share that ‘this is only business but you are doing it with a soul!’ The choicest part of the day was Dubai Shopping Mall episode.

Is Acrophobia a problem for you?

Then visiting the tallest tower in the world, Burj Khalifa is a nerve-racking chapter rather than a delightful excursion. But the sight from the above was breathtaking, often followed by a selfie sessions for the FaceBook status update.

Flying back home

Back home, she penned her appreciation to the deserving crew which made her feel ‘I was in a family’.

Most of the words in quotes have been taken from her appreciation letter for the company, beautifully venting out the emotions that she really had the service facilities that were offered.
